Hi there, I'm trying to get the new Premium Downloader to start up but it always crashes when it's starting up. Whenever I double click on it, the loading bar pops up, loads about 1/3 and then this error pops up: "NDSDNR has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I can't get it to start no matter what I do. I've redownloaded it a couple of times and still no dice. I am still able to start up the old version however it only half works. What I mean by that is that it can only do 1 download at a time, if I select more then 1 the download on the second slot always fails saying username/password is wrong, however the first slot will continue to download without any problems. It's really bad because the second slot will load all the games in queue and say "error getting rom username wrong" making the downloader good for only downloading one game at a time. Anyhoo, please help me as I don't know what else to do, I've tried searching the forums for a solution but no dice there either.
You have .NET 3.5? What OS are you running? Where are you running NDSDNR.exe from? Do you have any antivirus programs etc. running?
Hi, I'm not sure if I have .NET3.5 should I get that? I'm running windows xp and Im running the NDSNR thing from my documents, I just extracted it from the rar file went into the folder and ran it. I have McAffee antivirus but I've turned off the firewall on it entirely and still no dice.
You need to have Microsoft's .NET Framework installed in order to run the program. You can download it for free from Microsoft's website. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=333325fd-ae52-4e35-b531-508d977d32a6&DisplayLang=en
Hi I downloaded and installed the latest version of Net Framework but it still crashes everytime I try to start it up. Anymore ideas?
.NET applications usually crash with an error screen, you might need to tell it to give you details but those details would help a lot.
All it says for the error is what I've typed up in the first post. Which is: "NDSDNR has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. If you were in the middle of something, the information you were working on might be lost. Please tell Microsoft about this problem. We have created an error report that you can send to help us improve NDSDNS. We will treat this report as confidential and annonymous."
K i hit view report and this is what I get: Error signature EventType : clr20r3 P1 : ndsdnr.exe P2 : 3.3.1.0 P3 : 49d53436 P4 : mscorlib P5 : 2.0.0.0 P6 : 471ebc5b P7 : 3404 P8 : d8 P9 : system.io.filenotfoundexception There's a "View Contents Of The Error Report" button but I can't seem to copy it and it's really long too.
Alright, that helps a bit, it's missing a file somehow, there is a file that is supposed to be generated at start up, I don't know the code too well but it's feasible that somehow it didn't get generated, so I tried uploading my version of it. It's definitely not for everyone else, I got that file by downloading the premium downloader and running it, I don't usually use it since I'm the primary uploader at RomUlation.
