Simple, just state your favourite piece of (preferably solo) piano music followed by a link to the song if you can find one. It can be anything; from movie soundtrack to classical composition. Personally, I find the theme of The Pianist to be one of my favourite songs out there: found here Otherwise known as Nocturne in C# by Chopin.
Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. its my ring tone. i love it every since i heard it in Resident Evil (you know the looked door where you need to get Jill or Rebecca to play piano to unlock it)
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=KQ0OD8W9 Was composed by a friend's father before he passed away in 2006. He was an incredible piano player who died penniless with very few people knowing of his talent. This track is incomplete, the tape was accidentally wiped. His son still claims to know the entire track but he can't play the piano.
Is that the only recording then? It's always sad when talent goes unrecognised; I enjoyed the piece and he definitely should have got some credit.
yeah its the only recording, the tape got wiped in between it being recorded and put onto computer. Sadly due to the guy's alcoholism, he could never remember the things he played, so if his son wasn't quick enough with the tape recorder they were gone forever, apart from the ones his son knows.
Oh wow, I have several I really like, and it's hard to pick one: An (accurate) adaption for solo piano of: In the Hall of the Mountain King (from Peer Gynt Suite) by Edvar Greig Senta's Ballad (from Flying Dutchman) by Richard Wagner Tocatta in d (I don't have the fugue) by Bach Mars (from The Planets) by Gustav Holst Martha (from Fantasie Brillante?) by Sydney Smith (lol good luck finding that one one youtube!!) The Nutcracker Suite by Peter Illych Tchaikovsky Wow, I didn't realize that so many of my favorite pieces were from operas/ballets!!
That's quite good. It also creeps me out considering you can hear a constant ring throughout the entire thing, it sounds like a heart beat monitor flat lining. I know it's just the recording but it creeps me out.
In before a bunch of assholes start namedropping classical musicians they don't listen to. A live motherfucking rendition of "Bye".
