First off, if you haven't joined the site already, do now: http://myanimelist.net/

Anyway, basically just post a link to your anime list along with any comments, recommendations, and any other discussion you may have. This will open up doors for those interested in finding out some new manga or anime they may have overlooked or decided not to watch. Plus, it's just interesting to see the types of things people like ^^

    Re: Your Anime Activity

Although the other thread we have serves the same purpose, I like this idea as long as other people follow the same format.

It makes it nice so that other people can quickly look at what's being watched without a whole jumble of words mixed in.

Also, I like the additional sections, like what's being considered or being watched next, and what you have already watched.

Hopefully, the thread will take off.

    Watching:
    Elfen Lied (Ep. 04)

Good so far. Story progresses rather quickly, but I would expect this from a large manga that is compressed in so few episodes.

Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood (Ep. 01)

First impression is good. The only thing that is bugging me is that the uploader cropped the video from 4:3 to 16:9 so the top and bottom are slightly cut off. This is the sole reason I am not resuming until Elfen Lied is done.

High School of the Dead (Ep. 02)

I've heard so much crap about this show, the fan-service and the horrible English dub. And they're right. I can't take this show seriously. Still gonna watch it since I already downloaded it.

    Iron Man (Ep. 01)

Found the English dub up to Ep. 08. I will probably finish this when I have all 12 episodes in English. Although I've only seen the first episode, my feeling is that it won't be nearly as deep of a story as other animes I've watched so far.

    Naruto (Ep. 10)

I've mainly served this as my in-between other animes. It's okay.

Watched: (Ratings go from 1 to 5, 5 being the best, 1 being the worst)

    Avatar: The Last Airbender (4)
technically not an anime, but still worth a mention because it is similar

    Code Geass (5)
I couldn't put this one down and marathoned both seasons within 2 days. Likeable dynamic characters, deep complex story and it's something you'll just have to watch in order to appreciate it fully.

    Death Note (5)
Also marathoned this within 2 days. Characters aren't as likeable as in Code Geass (ahem, Misa Amane), but still great. The complexities of the story and conflict are there.

    K-On (3 or 4 given it's genre)
Slice of life anime (from my guess) shouldn't really have a plot, or a goal, or a direction. It should simply be a segment of an individual's or a group of individual's life or lives. This one tried to present a conflict and resolution.

Kiss x Sis (4 given it's specific purpose of existence)
Funny with extremely awkward moments. The awkward moments are what makes it funny.

    Lucky Star (5)
One of the first animes I've seen, there's just something that I liked about the slice of life genre. It has absolutely no plot and that's what makes it great and easy-going.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (4 without the Endless Eight episodes, 3 with it)
Seriously, those Endless Eight episodes just sucked so bad.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica (4 bar the ending)
Mystery, time travel, and magic, all placed in the typical Japanese Middle/High School setting. Can't go wrong with that.

Pokemon (3 or 4, 4 due to nostalgia, 1 or 2 based on current airing)
Watched up to Indigo League and mostly Orange League, stopped somewhere in Johto.

    Valkyria Chronicles (4)
They changed a few key parts from the events in the game, which pissed me off. I would recommend playing the game first, but not required.

The World God Only Knows (4)
The characters and plot are more one-dimensional than what I'm used to. Still good though.

Hmm...Well, unlike My Anime List (which is a cool site btw), this thread allows you to rate and comment on the anime as well. Anyway, for future posters, you may follow the template above if you wish, and even add in you "My Anime List" link as well.

I was going to try to resist it, but I made my own profile.

It bugs me that they don't have the English names in parentheses or something. I'm always really confused when I see a Japanese title on my list.

@insanecrazy07: I'm surprised you gave The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya a 7. They say it's a really good anime. Then again, I guess it isn't for everyone.

@-Ricochet-: Dude! That's a long "Plan to Read" list...

I was trying to go by the descriptions of what a 7, 8, 9, 10, etc. means and how it relates to all of the anime I've seen so far. I know I have to recalibrate my scores.

It would definitely receive a 9 if it weren't for the Endless Eight episodes.

They need to have intervals of .5 because I ran into a few snags where two animes are not equal, but got the same score, and some that deserved more than what I put, but wasn't worthy of the next number up.

Hasn't been updated since I made it a while back, since then I've dropped Bleach and Naruto, finished everything else bar One Piece and Hellsing and I've finished a shit-ton more manga.

On the anime's Profile page, There should be "Synonyms" under the title bar under the anime's picture.

    Damn, that's a long list.

Hey how did you get your list pages to look like that?

Except that I can't get it to display its English title from my anime list page. I already know what it's English title is.

Ooh. I recommend you watch Code Geass after One Piece. If you liked Death Note, then you'll definitely like Code Geass.

I loved Death note, but I couldn't get into Code geass.
