Post your Alma Mater's Anthem thread

Show how much you love your Alma Mater by posting your School's Anthem on this thread.

Although I posted this on the Games & Jokes section, THIS ISN'T A GAME OR JOKE!

If you can find any Youtube videos of your Alma Mater's Anthem, then post them here, otherwise, post the lyrics instead.

This isn't just for people who have gone into College or pursued graduate studies, High School students, the majority of people on the Forum are also encouraged to post here. If your School doesn't have an Anthem, post instead your Batch Song. Say for Example you graduated High School from RomUlation Boarding Academy Batch 2007-2008, & the school has no Anthem, you can just post the song you & your batchmate's agreed upon to use as your batch's graduation song.

I couldn't the lyrics online, so I had to remember the words myself. It's lame, but at least we get to say it in DEEP voices. It goes something like this:

We glory to defend her fame,
Against the rival world
We add fresh honours to her name

Nelson is where I live, budget aye. There's other parts to it, but we say different parts each week. Sorry, can't say sing.

 

my school sucked. we have no chant/song. Melbourne Central Catholic, we had a bee as our mascot, whoo-hoo!

Our Mascot is a guy in the nude, really! ;D

 

My school mascot was a cranberry...

I don't think we had a school song or anything either, not that I'd remember it anyways. I hated that place with a passion.

i guess this is an America only thing - in the UK we had to sit on our arses listening to the head teacher blab on about how some kid got hit by a firework, then a bag check (secondary school)

 

I'm kinda surprised here...

I did consider the fact that there were people here who would have gone to Academmes such as Oxford, Cambridge or Yale & thought these institutions must have Anthems & such as they've been around for centuries, perhaps I was mistaken though :-\

 

they do Cahos, but those are universities. my university (wake forest) has this motto: Pro Humanitate (for humanity)
but they dont have an anthem, or i'll find out when i start there in august.

 

uni nowadays is all about the booze - university of kent is rated by how many bars are on/near campus. anyway, i say this thread can continue if we wera allowed to make up our own make up uni... err... whatever you call it.

 

Can I ask something for the guys over in Europe & the rest of the world except for the US?

Doesn't your Alma mater (High Schools included) compete in things like inter-Collegiate sports meets, inter High competitions or some thing like that, because if you do, your Academmes may have a Mascot, especially if you have a cheering (pep) Squad, and yes you can put in your Academme's special cheering/pepping up song you use during sports meets if you like

 

in america we never had that...

but in the Philippines.... too much of em @_@

 

So that's what the houses of Hogwart's meant, something European, I guess.

But what determines your house or group allocation? Grades?

And since there are some of you asking to post anything other than an Anthem or Mascot (because you may not have them) that has something to do with your Alma Mater...
