Should "Post-Merge" be eliminated, as to revive bumping ?

RomUlation.net has a new feature - Post Merge.
But with this feature comes a great loss - BUMPing.
Yes, no more "lets revive this thread", as post-merges do not count as new posts at all.
Do you believe this should be changed ?

Not true, if your previous post was made more than 2 days ago it will not be merged but will bump.

    LOL.
I love the fact that you commented, and on the poll chose 'i don't know'
It was you, wasn't it ?

By the way, hi :) (I haven't addressed you personally for quite some time !!)

I have found the post merge function to be extremely helpful.

How does the Post-merge work anyway??

I'm the one who voted the latter..

OK so I'm going to be grossly outnumbered here.
I don't know, sometimes it's fun to see n00bs getting pwned by Mods & Admins for double- (and even triple-) posting.

I would assume that post merging is when a person posts something and then posts again directly underneath themselves and say if it was done numerous times it would "merge" together as one post instead of say 2 or 3 separate posts, then again I may be totally wrong....sounds good to me anyway.

Well, I was getting to the point that I was about ready to start abusing people who purposely had the post merge hit them 5+ times in the same topic.

Beyond that though, I like it.

I like it though it won't do me any good.

It's a very useful feature, and very helpful too...in some cases...
