http://ps3.ign.com/articles/797/797035p1.html that's the article that was talking about a possible reduction [btw, i skimmed it, didn't full read the article]. also, check out what the ps fanboys are saying below the article. sony would never reduce prices after just a one year release. that would be a huge loss to them, even if the drop is small, like a 50 dollar drop. i don't think sony will ever drop prices for the ps3 until maybe another year or two from now.
I don't see how that announcement indicated anything about a price drop. He just said they would have an answer by Christmas, which is more than six months away, of course they'll have an answer by then. It could be no though. The only way I see the PS3 getting a price reduction is if they manage to cut the production costs of the components. Despite the huge price they're already losing money on each sale.
well the price went down, but saposedly only til the 60gb PS3s are all sold then the 90gb verion comes out next month and is saposed to be replaceing thr 60. and of corse the 90 is back at $600 sony has really turned into a buch of dumb asses.
We just got it in Denmark. Price is a whooping $927.50... No way am I going to pay that much for a gaming console... that's like 1½ months hosting for romulation.
