Exactly why I wish nintendo would do something close...even a wii version of a full 3-d mmo would ROCK!
Back when Pokemon first came out, I thought Nintendo should have capitalized on the layout of the N64 controller, and remade the game as an action RPG for the console. Since fights were always one-on-one, the player could map his pokemon's attacks to the four yellow C buttons and take direct control of it in combat. Maybe use the A and B buttons for jumping or pulling off a dash or something general like that. Give the battles a little fighting enclosure like in Quest64, and just port the rest of the game as-is. It would have been awesome. But Pokemon stadium was a much cheaper undertaking, I guess.
It's ok when used minimally-like re4 wii edition-just enough. They should scrap it and rebuild it. Send out pokemon like normal but have you controll them-prehaps god of war stlye button events would make "hydro pump" more interesting. 1.Stay on topic 2.It helps us focus on who we are talking to-otherwise we'd get lost 3.It's easier-period.
