pokemon trouble with tutorial

    I'm guessing I'm acting blond but I cant get this Pokemon game to work for me I searched around the forum and found a tutorial but I cant understand parts of it and my computer couldn't open one of the things it said to download, could someone give me a quick how to, to make this game work?

    I'm using the Visual Boy Advance Emulator

    the rom I downloaded is https://www.romulation.org/GBA/1986_-_Pokemon_-_Emerald_Version_%28U%29.rar.html/

    the tutorial I found that my computer doesn't like is https://www.romulation.org/GBA/1986_-_Pokemon_-_Emerald_Version_%28U%29.rar.html/

    I'd really appreciated if somebody could help

    Try to use the latest version of Visual Boy Advance.
