Pokemon Toxic Purple

I need some help with this. So I downloaded Pokemon Toxic Purple. I did what it said in a VBA FAQ to change the name to the ROM, which is FireRed because what I downloaded is a patch for the ROM I guess. So I did that, when I opened the FireRed ROM, I got the normal game and it said like 1m circuit is missing or whatever. I have VBA 1.8.3. Beta or whatever, because on the official site, I didn't get how I could use the VBA GX thing because all it gave me was some files that I couldn't use.

 

Having the same trouble with the game. No idea how to fix please help.

That doesn't help. It makes it unplayable. Some people said that I just need to rename the ROM and it would automatically patch, but that makes it unplayable as well.

 

yeah that doesn't help, Could somebody maybe upload a version with both files in it? (that works obviously)

 

The patch i found is an ips patch, is that the one you have?

 

Yep, thats the patch.

 

Have you tried using an IPS patcher? Usually you use them to patch games.

 

Yeah. Its the one that Anandjones pretty much gave the link to. It makes the game unplayable, like it just freezes.
