Pokemon Soul Silver (SS) freezes when i try to save

    Pokemon Soul Silver (SS) freezes when i try to save after first getting the save option on the menu. i click save and when i click the top option which is "yes" i think, it just frezes
    what do i do
    is there a certain part where i can save.
    i already patched it with the patch that KazoWAR on gbatemp.net made. (the first version not the latest one)
    i patched the anti freeze and the translation one too (its called SSEF.patch)

    anyway it freezes and the music keeps playing
    what do i do please help
    i passed the first part and everything with no problems until "my mum" gives me the menu with the trainer card, save, etc..
    i try to save straight away but then it frezzes
    please help i dont know what to do :( :'(
