    You can also use R4CCE to find the game ID of any ROM you have on your computer. Just open the program, choose Add Game, and next to the Game ID entry is a button labeled "..."

    Click on it, and load the ROM, it will automatically load the Game ID of that ROM. It's useful since patches change the Game ID of roms.

    Ok thanks.

    Was gonna load a HG/SS cheat file into my M3, but it doesn't seem to pick it up, thought I had the gameID wrong but the file format was just messed up.
