Pokemon Shadows of Almia help! And M3 help

Dear people,

i've got a little problem...
Ok, so i got Almia, i played it nothing seemed wrong.
Now 37 hours gameplay later i'm at the last boss, i'm like HURRAY!!
Now i defeated the boss, and you get the ending talk and stuff (not yet the credits) and the hero goes home and goes into his/her house than there is a scene shift to
Darkrai circling around that shadow crystal who is now transparant and the screen fades to black, both.
So i'm waiting for the credits.. but they just won't come.
I even closed my DS but he wouldn't even go to sleeping mode
I thought it was like my DS crashed or sumtin.. so i tried it again... and at the same point it happend AGAIN!
Is this maybe becaus it's a rom, or maybe my R4's firmware... or even maybe anti piracey.
Pleas help me!

Also, a friend of mine has a M3 (she just has it) and i got a R4 and so far i notice the two are really diffirent.
Now she wants to play Chrono Trigger, i got it working but we don't have any idea how to get a cheat on her
M3, i already put my USERCHEAT.dat in het system folder.. but when you want to select a cheat it says it has none.
She also (i think) has the oldest firmware of the M3.. how can we upgrade it?

Update firmware at http://www.linfoxdomain.com/ds/. Putting the DS in a vblank VBL state (closing the lid) won't do anything if it's crashed. You could try backing up your data, and reformat your MicroSD. Also, I think you need to download the cheat.dat instead. A while ago I tried the cheat.dat from cheats.gbatemp.net, but it didn't work.

to reformat your MicroSD,copy all its contents into your computer(i.e. Desktop)this includes all system files.
right-click and look for sumthing that says Format card...or check its properties.
It will warn you about losing all your data.(make sure you have the files copied to your computer...or else all your data will be gone.)
when it finishes formatting,copy all the files it had previously to the card.
There you have it!thats how you reformat a MicroSD.

Ok people im going crazy, the same kind of thing is happening to my chrono trigger game, =SPOILERS AHEAD=



when crono dies right after schala sends magus and party back up i get to see how lavos attacks and than the screen freezes but music keeps playing, when i close my ds it wont go in sleep modus and i litterly waited 10 minutes to be sure i wasnt crazy, im getting sick of whatever this problem is since its acting up in more and more of my games and formatting doesnt work...

 

So you've patched it already? Try backing up and reformat.

 

You spelled the filename incorrectly. It's USRCHEAT.DAT. There is no E in USR.

 

No i didn't becaus it's working untile a certain point... does that need to be patched...?

Ok, by playing around with the NDSLazy thingy or whatever it's called i unpacked it and put a arm7.bin thingy in them on instructions.
Now i packed it and put it on my DS, suddenly cheats aren't available for them but doesn't matter, when i did Chrono Trigger i got beyond the point it froze, it
s sadly not the same for Pokemon Rangers Shadows of Almia. I Saved Chrono and put the original not packed games back on it (specially since Trigger needs it for the anti piracey stuff.)
And well, i'm happy to say that as soon there beyond that point they work perfectly again!

Sadly, the whole issue with Shadows of Almia remains.... it freezes after the ending scene with darkrai and your hero is at home.

Ok, i made the USA save to a EU save.. seems that game is that stupid.. ooh well
I played the game and well.. this one DID let the credits roll so.. i'm happy all worked out....
And i'm proud of myself i did it on my own =D
