Pokemon Platinum Wont Save on EDGE

Hello.
Recently bought an edge card for my ds and I am trying to play Pokemon Platinum. When I am able to I save the game.Once I re-load the game it starts me talking to Prof. Rowan again at the startup screen.
So I have downloaded the patched version.
Still will load my save.

So I tried hitting Up+Select+B at the startup and I clicked delete all save data. It stalls at,
"Deleting All Data.
Dont Turn Off Power."

I have the latest OS. Any help please? ;D

I haven't encounterd this problem before so i can't help you much

Create a save file, then check how big the save file is, it's suppose to be 512 KB.

 

Yeah it is 512KB. This is really bugging me. So far its the only game I have had a problem with

 

Try reinstalling the firmware, and delete the save file and start afresh.

Re download the rom and start from the start. If you are using cheats sometimes cheats can make the game not save or freeze. Also update to the latest firmware for your card.

 

Okay so I deleted the save file and dowloaded the firmware(assuming the firmare is the OS off of the EDGE website).
I also just re-downloaded the rom.

It still starts a new game when I start it up after saving.

EDIT: Oh yeah and I dont use any cheats

Try using the clean version.

 

Umm sorry what do you mean by clean version? of what?

 

The ROM which hasn't been patched or modified in any way.
