pokemon platinum ssc code file?

    my friend sent me a file for Pokemon but I'm not too sure how to use it.  its called [5389]SC_cheats_for_Pokemon_Platinum__U_ do i add it into my R4DS like a game.

    its prolly easy I'm just not thinking right lol

    also for the R4DS do i use USERCHEAT or CHEAT.dat file?

    You can use both, but you should use usrcheat.dat. It is more supported in newer firmwares. Just update your database from cheats.gbatemp.net, they have all the cheats there made from our team, plus any others found otherwise :)

    tried the newest update for the cheats but i lost some for the games i play someone told me to trim the file but didn't say how is their a program?

    Trim the database? Use R4CCE (by Yasu).

    do i just erase games i dont use or do i have to do something else?
