Pokemon Platinum, HG, SS...

I was looking at Serebii.net just now..and I was wondering on how to get a Squirtle in Platinum and on the website it says from Pal Park. I wanted to know what is that?

I see that in HG/SS you can get a Squirtle from Professor Oak as a gift.

And I was wondering once I get my wifi code would anyone be willing to trade me a Squirtle to either Diamond or Pearl?

[Edit]Oh and about Pikachu, it says that I can get him/her via Trophy Garden but, in Platinum it's Uncommon...But for HG/SS it's uncommon but in Viridian Forest...Help me understand.

You need a real gba cartridge.

Common: Easily encountered.
Uncommon: Not very easy to find.
Rare: VERY HARD TO FIND.

If you wanna trade the Squirtle, just get a friend with a DS to help you.
You could always use GTS to look for one.

 

You lost me at the part of GTS. I'm fairly getting started in pokemon really. (Because of her 4 yr old son.)

 

GTS stands for Global Trade Station
I think you can assume what that means.

Pal park is where the Pokemon go when you migrate them from your gba game (starting menu scroll down click migrate from whatever pokemon game you have in there, eg. Leaf green, emerald, ruby etc)

 

Sadly I don't own those games. Ah well...
