pokemon platinum help

when ever i try to play pokemon platinum i pick a pokemon and it gives me another random pokemon instead of the on i picked :-[

So if you pick a water type-you get the fire one instead your saying?

Could you re-explain in more detail?

 

o sorry. in the first battle with your best friend i have a fire type pokemon but it shows i have a voltorb

 

What card are you using?

 

i am using a r4 but when i played it the first time it didnt have this problem. then when i re downloaded it had this problem

 

What made it so you had to re-download?

Also, what firmware are you running, I'm running v.1.18 and Pokemon Platinum is working fine.

 

Your save file is probably corrupted, possibly due to using cheats or the pokesav program.

Delete the save file and restart, it doesn't sound like you are very far.
