Pokemon Platinum Help: 'Wii message settings'

    I downloaded the us version; Put it on my R4 game works fine.
    Then I try going to the Wii message settings and the screen goes black and fussy noise plays.
    I tested it on no$gba and it works perfectly.
    My frameware it up to date. I don't know what could be wrong.

    Please help.

    This is because you're on a emulator.

    Then how come it worked on no$gba?
