That's why you ALWAYS use Mean Look first. Their odds of using Roar is fairly low, assuming they even have it in HGSS. I won't know until I can buy a copy.

It's what makes catching the legendary gerbils such a pain. Same goes for the empathics in 4th gen. IIRC, when you meet them again they'll still be asleep!
