Pokemon HG/SS (E) AP Patch for R4

This patch is for the EU release, NOT the US release. Seems to be working fine on my R4DS with 1.18 firmware. ROM has not crashed and Ive been playing a good 2 hours! Finally a patch is released.

DOES NOT WORK WITH YS MENU!!

Ive been getting countless messages asking how to patch it, why does it still freeze, etc.. I HAVE NO IDEA. I didnt make this patch. I found this patch on gbatemp, and uploaded it here. It seemed to be working fine on my cart but it ended up crashing in about 2.5 hours. This patch is not finished. It is working for some people and not for others. I suggest either buying a newer flashcart, or try playing with a half/ass patched game.

We are getting mixed results...

Some people are saying that it works. Others are saying that it works longer than the US ROM, then it freezes, Some are saying that the game freezes after 23 or so events, and some are saying it doesnt work at all. (save doesnt load)

Ive gotten a confimation that the ROM works on R4SDHC 1.18. Not sure if this is true because I do not own a R4 SDHC.


THIS IS NOT A COMPLETE PATCH!! This patch gets rid of SOME of the AP in this game. The game will most likely still freeze on your cart!! Theres multiple reports of the game running for about 40mins to an hour before crashing, and the game freezing on 23 events just like with the US version. Unsure if those people have legitimate R4 carts but in the patch, it clearly says that this is for LEGIT (NOT CLONES) R4DS running 1.18 firmware WITHOUT YS Menu.

I have 12 badges now and the game is crashing every hour for me. That time frame seems to be different for everyone on here.

Since the game crashed after exiting the Ice Path, the game has frozen again in these locations
*Got spinning pokeballs of death when facing the trainer infront of the Victory Road gate
*Froze again after exiting the Captains Cabin in the SS Aqua
*Froze again after battling a gym trainer in Celadon (2nd Kanto Badge) 10 Badges in all
*Froze again after exiting the Power Plant after returning the Machine Part
*Froze again after exiting the Saffron Gym after beating Sabrina (my 12th Badge)
Ive been playing for about 50 minutes after beating Sabrina and no freeze yet.. i know its coming

Already did, it wouldnt load my save file. This is for 1.18 firmware. It doesnt say use YS Menu

Thats the same as YS Menu right? It doesnt work on that. This patch says its only for R4DS with 1.18 firmware

I'll test it on my old R4DS, even though it works fine on my Acekard 2i

Two days after I ordered my acekard, but pokemon isn't r4's only problem.
Brb testing on my r4i-gold.

Have entered/exited a building over 30 times and no freeze! :O

It's for the EUROPEAN rom, not the german.

This is for the EU rom with R4DS, not the German rom with R4i-Gold...
