Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver Question (non-fix related...ish)

Hi guys,

I finally caved and bought Pokemon SoulSilver from Future Shop the other day when an idea dawned on me. Would it be possible to transfer a Pokemon from my R4 Original v.1.18 (and freezing) to my store bought copy via PokeWalker, without corrupting the game?

This would be awesome as I could just use PokeSav to edit my rom .sav and then transfer them over before freezing occurs ;D.

The pokewalker uses infrared to connect to the ds cart, so it can only connect to the retail copy of the game.

 

So the infrared port is on the physical cart. I see. Thanks!

 

if you have two ds or you can borrow a friends then i assume you can trade pokemon from the rom on your r4 (Before freezing) and trade it over to your retail copy. that worked for my pokemon plantinum on r4 to pokemon HG
