Pokemon Heartgold R4 Rom. In need of Anti-Freeze patch!

OK, me and my friend have been searching frantically for a Bypass Patch for the R4. We're having the same common problem that everyone else has: The screen stays black after entering/exiting buildings, after battles, etc occassionally. We did find a patch, and it worked fairly well for a while, but by the time I was past Goldenrod, it just started freezing every 3 screen changes. If you know a patch for the R4 that works often and reliably, please share it with us. Many thanks in advance.
