Hello, I just Downloaded Pokemon hard gold. I go to save it, I touch save it then comes up with the blue screen and says "Error Saving Data. The backup memory has failed. The game may be played, but it is impossible to save. Please turn off the power." Is there anything i can do to get past this?
Have you both tried doing this (*Klawza, its the same method as your issue with your Pokemon Platinum that you posted before this): Method below for DSLINKER/FIRELINK/UNC/N-CARD only! : Hold "SELECT" + Press Direction Pad "LEFT" or "RIGHT" to change the SAVE TYPE option before loading the ROM; Hold down the SELECT button while you keep pressing the LEFT/RIGHT pad to scroll for the other save type options. If I recall correctly, there are 6 save types to choose from in DSLINKER/FIRELINK/N-CARD/UNC (different names used for the same cart). I think FLASH 2MB is your answer. If not, then you should keep changing the save type with the above method until you can see a "DOT" spinning when you choose to save the game. If the dot does not spin then the game is not yet saved. Its a very old cart, I got one too but now I hardly use it for new games. And had played Heart Gold and Soul Silver using it, no issues while using it in the past. But that was long time ago. And I used the JPN translated version made by Rykin122. He's a member here too. You best use a pre-patched version for the US rom if you still have problem with the saving feature, cause I do not know who still have link to a download for the rom translated by Rykin122. Also both of you might want to make sure you have the latest kernel version for DSLinker/FireLink/N-Card/UNC which was from the year 2008 (No updates since): The latest kernel version is V.1.45 with XMENU v.2.55. The link: http://www.dslinker.cn/soft/ or from http://www.linfoxdomain.com/nintendo/ds/ 1. First download the file name : V.1.45 XMENU v.2.53 (2007) 2. Next download the file name XMENU. v2.55 3. You also might want to download the new DS Organizer to replace the old moonshell, but avoid using the moonshell v.2.0 or newer since its takes up too much space while your cart is limited to only 1GB.
