Yes it is. Pokemon Red is not a game boy colour game, it's a Gameboy game. As it barely has any colour.

Pokemon FIRE red is a gameboy game with that small, miniature game pak, whilst, Pokemon Red is a Gameboy color game..

Pokemon Firered is a GBA game, Pokemon Red is a Gameboy game, not a Gameboy Colour game.
