Pokemon fire red not working

    Whenever I try to play. right after I press "start" on the front menu, in-game it will show a message saying...

    Heres the link to where I downloaded it from. https://www.romulation.org/GBA/1636_-_Pokemon_-_Fire_Red_Version_(U).rar.html/. It seems that it works for everyone else.

    Can anyone help me out on this?

    The visualboy advance version is 1.8.0-beta 3

    Follow these instructions. https://www.romulation.org/forum/index.php?topic=6326.0 or change the Save Type in Options->Emulator->Save Type to Flash 128K.

    Thanks, its fixed now. The instructions got too far into it than I wanted to go, but cahos's next post with the vba-over.ini file got it working fine. Thanks for the help.
