Pokemon: Favorites or Top-Tier in WiFi Battles?

This mainly concerns the older pokemon, since I'm assuming most of you have more favorites in previous generations than the newer ones, while the newer ones seem to hold the upper tiers brackets.

 

I like to say this in these kind of discussings:

Take what your playstyle suits best. If you go for the fun, go for it. If you want to be 'da bombz', .... go for it.

 

yeah agree with jonez just play how you want to play have fun thats good enough for me

 

A mix of Fav and Top tier.Like, I prefer Dragon types mainly and some of them are top-tier

 

I stopped playing pokemon a while back... but I always used Favorites. Top-Teir is just... BORING.

 

I veer towards top tier, but then i only pick the ones I actually like

 

I'm asking what YOU personally prefer. Not what others, or what I prefer.

Also, I may need to rephrase the choices. It sounds biased, except that I don't know how I would rephrase them...

I'm not gonna lie. A Pokemon's usefulness affects how much I like it. Like Luvdisc. That thing is the bane of all good in the world.

But I mostly choose them for their badassery and design.

 

sometimes thats how i pick them by their looks if they look badass enough to be in a team >

 

Usually, badass looks = badass stats

 

Stats aren't everything. Movepool, speed tiers, abilities, and offensive/defensive typing are more important than stats and stat distribution.

Best example would be Haxorus. Looks badass, but he gets screwed over on speed tiers and poor defenses.

 

i have a different team all the time but ghosts or poison are my faves i tend to use pokemon that arent communally used

 

Top-tier, easily.

 

My favorites from old gen are Lucario and Infernape....
From gen 5 my fav is Zoroark....
