I recently downloaded these games from the RomUlation site and i am not able to play them i have checked the common problems thread and followed all the instructions there such as changing the save type to flash 128k and enabling the real time clock. i have also searched around the support thread for user's experiencing similar issues and haven't been able to find one that seems to provide an answer for my specific problem.

    i am currently using

    VBA version 1.8.0 beta 3

    as my emulator program and

    2011 - Pokemon - Sapphire Version (E) (v1.2).gba
    2006 - Pokemon - Ruby Version (E) (v1.2).gba
    1986 - Pokemon - Emerald Version (U).gba

    as the game files

i have tested other games to make sure that the emulator does work and haven't had a problem so far, but when i load these games i receive a white screen and no sound at all.
Thank you in advance for any time spent in helping me fix my problem.

try using an older version of VBA (i.e not a beta) Betas are unfinished and may have bugs or not work.

He might want to keep using VBA though. And that beta is really old news.

I am partial to VBA though i wouldn't mind switching to a different Emulator if it remains unable to run the game. does anyone have a link to an older version of VBA so that i can download and test it?

*I downloaded VBA version 1.7.2 and ruby works I'm still having problems with Emerald and Sapphire.

That's really weird, VBA tends to be the best in emulating GBA. no$gba can run it too probably at the same speed.

And VBA is better because it has a speed button :D

that is because you can controll the speed easily in VBA

OK here's how to "fix VBA to make every GBA Pokemon game work on it

    https://www.romulation.org/forum/index.php/topic,6326.0.html

The Admins &/ or Moderators should really sticky this

If it works with GBA games for VBA (as it tends to have problems), I would sticky it, only if you edit the first post on how to make it work and where to download it etc as people might get confused with all your posts saying you're trying to find the good .ini file etc.

    Done!

I've even renamed the topic title to:

Making special case GBA ROMs like the Pokemon games to work on VBA :)

But I did notice that the old title still remained on others' replies to the post

Yeah, I edited it with the download links added and also on how to do it. Just so people know how to do it. I even kept your post all in green.
