pokemon emerald not working in my VBA 1.8,, it doesnt work

    Please explain your problem further, like what exactly is your problem? Can it load?

    Some games don't tend to work in 1.8beta, use 1.7 or something.

    I'm having a problem with this game too, along with Ruby version. It may have something to do with WinRAR because the text for the file changed to blue, and I have no idea what that means. When the ROM is run the screen is white and the running speed goes from 100% and slowly drops down to 0. Any ideas or suggestions? It can open and play other games without a problem too.

    a file name in blue means the file is compressed using NTFS compression. Or it's encrypted.

    Any ideas on how to get it to work? It seems like all games are in blue text now, and they weren't before.

    I've also tried on VBA 1.7 and it still doesn't work, just a white screen.
