...uhh... I was never really able to figure it out... How can you tell if your Wurmple will evolve into Silcoon or Cascoon? Help please...
It depends when your wurmple reaches its evolution during day it would be a silcoon and if a night a cascoon PS it might be the other way around I'm not sure
In Emerald/Ruby/Sapphire it was totally random, In Diamond/Pearl it's based on which time of day it evolves
...hehe...I see... I had to catch Wurmple, Cascoon, and Beautifly separately in Emerald since I didn't know how it worked... Anyway, thanks a bunch! ;D
its not random, its just that emerald, ruby and sapphire have a bug that disables events followng the real time clock
The fix for Emerald/Ruby/Sapphire is here, again https://www.romulation.org/forum/index.php/topic,6326.0.html And also, I've read every FAQ & Tip on GameFAQs & GameWinners, THE only time activated event in E/R/S is the rising & falling of the tides, which gives you different access points to a particular cave, where you get the seashells used to trade for heartscales. And I've played Emerald on my PC at night & there is no Day/Night change engine.
