Pokemon Black and White Official Topic

I've made this topic because recently a lot of Pokemon B&W topics have been made.
Everything about Pokemon Black and White should go in here and everything should be discussed here.
Hopefully this will reduce the amount of Pokemon B&W topics being made.
I'll try to keep this as updated as possible.

In addition to that, Pokémon Black and Pokémon White take the 3D attributes previously included in Pokémon
Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold & SoulSilver and take them to new levels by including things like fully 3D bridges and a completely 3D city.

New Attacks and Abilities:

Attacks:
Claw Sharpen = Effect: This attack has the effect of raising the user's Attack and Accuracy stats. It is unclear whether it's a standard one-stage rise or if they're sharply raised.
Trickery = Effect: This attack attacks the foe utilizing their own stats.

Abilities:
Illusion = Effect: This ability allows the Pokémon to change it's appearance.

The 5th Gen Pokemon:

So far there has only been 5 new Pokemon Confirmed.
The New Starters

The Pokemon on the far left is Tsutaja, It is a Grass Snake Pokémon.
The one in the middle is Pokabu, It is a Fire Pig Pokémon
The one on the far right is Mijumaru, it is a Sea Otter Pokémon

Zorua and Zoroark.

They are Dark Monster Fox Pokemon.

They've done it. The worst starter pokemon ever. Good job.

I won't comment about the green one, but the red one looks a little too happy right?

 

Yep and the Water one looks sad

 

It's probably like

Mijumaru : I'm sad because they drew me so badly and that the red one smells bad.

And the green one looks like a mutated treeko. or it it just the facial expression.

 

The Green one does look like a Treecko.

The Whole 5th Gen will probably look retarded.

 

Probably Ken (The Character designer for Pokemon Games) is actually sabotaging the Game by making them all look crappy?

 

Possibly.
But why though?

 

He wants the world of pokemon to fall and wants to revive digimon again. My only explanation.

So now its a snake, a sea otter, and a pig.

... lets compare

1st gen : a dragon, grass on legs and a turtle
2nd gen: a mouse, a croc and an indescribable thing on legs
3rd gen : A chicken, a platypus and a bug
4th gen: a monkey, a penguin and another grass on legs.
5th gen : Snake, Monkey, Sea Otter

... They keep moving closer and closer to animals.

 

That's true.
They are supposed to be Pokemon not Animals.

 

what would be the look of the &th gen I wonder?

 

Each Gen will look uglier and uglier
Until there's a complete disaster

 

ken hasnt worked on designs since gen 3

 

3rd: Bug?.. wasn't treeko a reptile/lizard
4th: turtwig starts off as a turtle/tortoise, then evolves into into one of those herbivore dinosaurs (forgot the name)
5th: Reptile (looks more like a lizard than a snake), Pig (not monkey)

 

Its hard to say if the starters are horrible or not, since the creator of the game are pretty much only worried about the japanese culture.

So there is actually nothing wrong with the Snake (?), Pig and Sea Otter.

Snake is sign of bad luck. which kinda explain the villain look of the grass pokemon and the fact that his "cloths" remember a vampire.

Pig is a common Pet on a certain asian contry (not sure if its japan). Which explain the chibi-look.

and the Sea otter... well if you consider the whole fact that sea otters are near extinct because of their fur, explain why it seems to be using a kind of clothing.



Besides, in a Occidental way of see this. God.... I will start the game with a grass pokemon because its the less ridiculous one.


, Pig is a common Pet to give as a gift (dunno what contry) and the Sea Otter were hunter

 

Woops. Wrote stuff wrong. Epic fail.

5th gen : Thats a snake, A pig, a see otter.
4th Gen : Turtwig does not have a shell. Even if it can withdraw.
3rd Gen : I guess its a reptile. It looks more like my friends's mutant cousin anyway. I guess I can call him Chucky.
