Pokemon B/W SDHC black screen fix for Acekard 2i (PRE 3RD BADGE)

THIS DOES NOT WORK AFTER YOU HAVE 3 OR SO BADGES! THE GAME WILL FREEZE AT A BLACK SCREEN AFTER TRYING TO CONTINUE YOUR GAME. WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR A FIRMWARE UPDATE D:

This is for the unfortunate people who own certain SDHC cards who can't even play the game with their Acekards.

DO NOT try to use the English patch with the freeze patch. Doing so will result in black screens when loading the ROM.

I have a question, I have Ak2i with 4GB kingston micro sd kard also...

On my Dsi it says that my AKAIO is 1.7 build... should it say 1.7.1?

Because black won't work for me, but i'm not sure if I have 1.7.1

Still doesn't work with my micro SDHC. I'm using an Acekard 2i, Akaio 1.7.1, with a Dane-Elec 4GB micro SDHC. Should I just get a regular 2GB sandisk? They're pretty cheap.

Never heard of Dane-Elec SD cards o_o

My ROM ran for the first time with this patch, then when I tried to load my save, I couldn't.
Using the new and improved Rudolph's patch, the game runs PERFECTLY! Gonna link that ROM here

UPDATED the first post with a new Patch, works PERFECTLY for my AK2i AKAIO 1.7.1

NO freezes
NO black screens
Wi-Fi works! even completed a trade with someone
C-Gear works!

Still not working on my micro SD, freezes after prof intro/name entry. I guess I'll have to wait for King leo's next patch. :-\

Wow. It runs fine for me. It may just be your SDHC card.. Dane-elec is a very uncommon SD card manufacturer. It works fine on my 8GB Kingston and my 4GB Sandisk. You may want to purchase a more common SDHC card =/
Did you patch it correctly?

Can someone else test this that owns a Kingston or Sandisk? or some other common SDHC card?

Yes, I followed the patch instructions. I'll have to pick up a sandisk later today if I can't wait.

This method of patching didn't work for my 4 gb sdhc sandisk. I just don't think I'll ever be able to play these roms on my acekard. I did the patching correctly, I patched white, loaded up a sav file from someone else, turned on the game, clicked continue, and still, I get the black screen. This happens even with regular sd cards, 2 gb sandisk and also 2 gb pny. There just has to be something wrong with my acekard. I shouldn't have bought it off of ebay, and it will be another 2 months before I can buy a supercard. Oh well. Acekard, I say this to you now, you suck!

so far, i have been using the Hex patch and i have had only one problem arise from it, and wanted to know if anyone found a fix on that?

it still does not work on my micro SD, freezes after proffessors intro/when the game is about to start.

I have a Kingston 4GB card... Could anyone give me their rom that has been patched and works on their AceKard 2i with a Kingston SD card...

I have been trying for 3 days now... If anyone could upload their rom that works on their Ak2i Kingston sd card... please pm me the link...


I hope I can fix this... I REALLY wan't to play black/white on my AceKard :[
