Points are good way to ``control´´ the downloaders but its just that, i thing there are better ways to control the downloads like timers(megaupload) or uploading to earn points (uploading roms-isos,etc) Why??? simple, i can only download 1 psx iso every 3 weeks, but why not to gb related games? yeah they are little but still 50 every day to download FFVII(3gigs or something like that) ??? :'( Lets make this post a start for faster way to download isos(principal), can you suggest a better way to download games without points??
Not happening. The point system is there precisely to stop what you are asking for. People downloading costs us money. We pay nearly $3,000 a month so that you can download games, if we didn't have the points system it would be easily double that. We provide the means for you to buy points or a premium membership, that money goes towards paying for the extra bandwidth you use and the bills it costs to run this site. Simply put, if we did not have the points system, we would not be able to afford the costs of keeping RomUlation running. Remember, even your 'free' points cost us money; we do not have to give free points at all. We will not allow user uploads as we cannot verify them as legit files. Also FFVII is about 2GB if that, and just download the first disc. By the time you reach the second one, you'll have enough points to download it. You don't need all three discs now.
I think the point system rocks. Back in the day I used to download GBA roms from dgemu and I was basically limited to just 12.5 (now it’s 17.5) not matter how long I’d wait. With romulation you can have 10000 points if you are patient enough. I think it's a fair trade seeing how all of these wonderful games are free. I’m glad I discovered this site PS: There is also a section dedicated to affiliates. Some of them are really good when it comes to providing PS isos.
