If I download a game from RomUlation, and it doesn't work despite any efforts of changing my emulator's configuration, is it possible to get a refund on points?

I want to download Tai-fu, Wrath of the Tiger but I don't have enough points. Versions I've gotten from other sites aren't working, and I'm wondering if RomUlation's version will work.

Once I get the points, if I download it and it doesn't work, can I get a point refund? I'll take screen captures or make a video if necessary.

    pSX v1.13
Just the basic stuff, I don't think it has extra settings.

    PC Specs:
    1022MB Ram
    ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 256MB
    Sound: Sigmatel Audio

    WtH?

    Use epsxe 1.7.0 instead.

Your specs should be able to run it...not sure though-my laptop eats' yours ;D

The problem is that it wont load, it'll get to the main menu, and as soon as I hit "start game" it wont load.

I've never been able to get epsxe to work, and I've tried it recently using this site's guide and it remains to be crap.

And yes, my Laptop's old, my plans for upgrading got chucked when my job decided to close up shop.

    Hrm...

You have the plugins, the bios for it right?

I can only think that..prehaps the settings aren't quite right if I't not working.

Downloaded everything from this site from the guide, followed the guide to a T, and done everything short of finding a burning bush and sacrificing a Lamb to it. Either the game appears in this itty-bitty window, or there's an obscene amount of blurring. I was hoping to get it working on pSX since I've had good success with it, barring the occasional slowdown if I'm not in Fullscreen mode, but I digress.

One might say, concerning the game in question, I is screwed eh?

Well If I could touch your pc I reckon I can get it working in a day.

But that option is out of boubnds sadly.

I never used a guide, I got it working, infact I was fine running "1.2.0" until I found one game that didn't like it..

Turns out 1.6.0 wored better at times-try getting that.

Have both executables for 1.7.0 and 1.6.0 in the same folder, so you can switch versions at will, worth a try.

Alright, I'll try that tomorrow. I've got more job hunting in the morning and I'm too tired to take a hammer to this crap. I'll report back after some tries.

    One suggestion...

Do it when you get some free time rather than juggle this and job hunting.

I had a whole week to do mine in, being a noob and my first emulator experience it took me weeks to get it running.

Just to put in an official word on this. We don't do point refunds unless you paid for them and it's our sites faults. We have just shy of 1.3 million members and if everyone had to get refunds when something didn't work on their setup then we'd have to actually to employ people to give back points - and considering that they are free that would be insane.

I got it to work with 1.6 to a reasonable degree, not that much blurring.

    @Seph

Alright, I didn't know. I didn't see it anywhere in the policy, and the only dumb question is the one you don't ask.
