poekmon platinum

i downloaded the rom and when i get my first starter pokemon i have to battle my friend and when i choose my pokemon it makes no sound but the other trainer'r pokemon makes sound....

can anyone help me as to why that happened?

im playing on the r4 firmware 1.18 and ysmenu the game play is fine its just that my pokemon makes no sound

 

Try to remove any dirt stuck on the speaker grill (those six little dots at the side of your screen) or slide up an down a few times the volume control (from max to minimal), since you hear the enemy pokemon you should look on the left side. if it is clean, there is a chance your left speaker is ruined.
