Whenever i log onto Romulation and go to forum (often i don't bother waiting for the adverts to load up), an advert appears, where i just hit "skip" and go on my way. but every now and again there'll be an advert "brought to you by Podshadow" which crashes firefox and brings up a suspicious "mozilla customer quality feedback" dialogue box.

i didn't trust it so i close it all down, but often i get the constant crashes from Podshadow until by chance a different advert loads up and i can browze freely.

does this happen to anyone else?

    thanks in advance

I've never experienced that advertisement, due to the fact I use Explorer, sorry I can't hep you there, but when I used Firefox, that advertisement never really popped up...

Yeah, try using Explorer for a bit. Whenever I use Explorer and log in Romulation, so many ads pop up.

because IE is badly written. @sir spamalot: There is nothing suspicious about that feedback agent, it merely sends a crash dump, along with your explanation of what you were doing at the time, to mozilla's bug tracking system, so the developers can find out if it is a problem that they need to fix.

I'll try to find the ad and see if I can reproduce the error.

thanks everyone - the ad doesn't appear very often anyway. just that whenever it does it'skinda annoying. and in my opinion internet explorer (7) feels tacky and i just don't like it

What version of FF are you using? I havnt had a problem because I dont see ads. However if you are using the latest Beta 3 its likely that it may be that. Try rolling back to FF2

i am using FF 2... with all the latest updates too :D

anyway, if it helps i've adjusted firefox to clear my temporary internet files, history and cookies everytime it closes. firefox only stores my password for this site.
