Okay, all the people asking about GBA emulation DS you need to read here. GBA Emulation is not possible on the DS unless you have a slot-2 card, iPlayer, or the upcoming, not released YET, SuperCardDSTWO. If you have a hacked PSP, there is always gPSP.

(you need a GBA bios file for most GBA Emulation: http://rs280.rapidshare.com/files/69551457/gba_bios.bin place in root of emulator)

    SuperCard DS TWO:

    Slot-2 Flash Cards:

(Lol Let me google that for you)
Recommended flash card is Ez Flash 3in1:

There is always the M3 and SuperCard also.

    gPSP-J:

To use gPSP, hack your PSP:
    Hack PSPs 3000 and 2000 Ta088v3 FW 5.03 or less (5.03 GEN-C):

    Hack PSPs 1000 and 2000 Non-Ta088v3 FW 5.03 or less (5.00 M33-v6):

This should be stickied. Is it just me or in the last few months have the number of people asking if there's a GBA emulator for the DS increased? More and more people (I use the term people very loosely) seem to be asking the same question.

    Oh, I like you.

I also like this thread. I second the whole sticky thing, but probably in Technical Help.

Someone will probably put the info in the Common Issues topic one day, or something. I'd rather not put something like this as it's own sticky. If we did that then we'd have to put up stickies about playing N64 games on the DS.

But there is a sticky topic in the Nintendo trading station I believe about all the available emulators for the DS.

Yeah, I don't know why though, I mean it says "PLEASE READ!!" Its a different color and they're at the top.

But, If you look at most common topics(example: Anti-Piracy on MLBIS) these days the replies are just links to stickys.

That's stupid... But if you place tons of links to this topic, they will automatically look in this, because other users put the same link in other posts.

True, but at least we can just post a link to this.

I think people do read, but we don't ear from them.

Mike...sorry to be a pain but you need to fix a few things.

That's one of thiose "let me google that for you" and won't help newbs!

...And put something about the ezy 3 in one flash cart, it's the easiest suggestion to give.

Flashcards != flashcarts. Flashcards are literally cards, typically with a question written on one side and an answer on the other, used to assist learning and memorisation.

Wow I totally missed that XD

    Another flaw spotted!

In other words this needs a clean up, the "flash cards" one and prehaps a mention of the ezy 3 in one helps.

You could class it as one of the older stand alone gba carts...but it makes things easier, since people can obtain the ezy 3 in one easier.

why do GBA games need more ram? i mean nintendo DS games are much better and take up less ram? shouldn't it be the other way around?

  19. Fredbox

    Fredbox Well-Known Member

They don't need more RAM to run normally on a DS, they just need to be run from the GBA slot. If you want to emulate it, then you need extra stuff, that's how the iPlayer emulator works.

It's more or less speed, apparently they boot slower in ds mode.
