i have a r4i gold yellow box... v 1.41 i have programmes on there but does not allow me to play new games... all i get is error 04 please reset...... what can i put on so i have free run of new games to play..... if anyone can help me, please tell me what i need to put on the sd card.... currently i am using wood for my kids normal ds.. i was bought a dsi xl.... please please please help...... major headache....
Wood works with most roms . If you need to run the latest games , then you just need to wait , we need time to catch up with the newest release .
i have tried 2 different wood versions.... wood r4idsn v1.18 and wood v1.14 r4ids gold.... i just transferred the rpg file and ds menu dat..... have i missed something????

The one you had tested is inferior already. -or- Ask CK3 in this topic : http://forum.romulation.net/index.php?topic=39701.0 You need to have the wood.nds (bootloader file), _rpg folder too. Its all in page 1 of CK3's topic. Try installing the Wood for R4iDSN or Wood for R4i Gold from CK3's page 1. Your cart is v.1.41 so it should be able to run either of the 2 version of WOOD. As long your R4i Gold is not v.2.0, it should work. If that fail, you might want to check iluvupaburger's topic on YSMENU : http://forum.romulation.net/index.php?topic=43121.0 Good luck!
thanks for the help but that is still not working.... i put what i need to on my sd card load it up into my dsi xl ... i get a face come up saying loading then it changes to red saying menu? what am i doin wrong??

problem is, your card is a clone, and is not the r4i gold that can read wood. what you can try is use your card's original firmware and dualboot ysmenu from there
how do i do that......?? i don't understand all this that well..... on my kids ds's i got wood working real great..... it's easy enough to down load stuff but not sure what i need to put on my sd card..... the one i bought had 12 items on it...... this is begining to stress me out..... i don't want to be restricted to games......
you need to go to your card's website. download the respective firmware for it. copy the files to the root (or start) of the sd card. then go here: http://forum.romulation.net/index.php?topic=43121.0 and download ysmenu. you will be using the one that says for r4 clones. after that copy the files inside that folder to the root of the sd card without erasing the other stuff on your card. then run your card normally, and look for ysmenu (like you usually do for a game) then run it and you are on ysmenu. then you can choose the game you want and play it
hi there... i think i have it working.... more games to play, there is still a few that won't but i think that might be where i'm downloading from...... i'm using removed at the min.... is that ok or is there another one similar to use... i used to use removed but thats not been working for a while now..... thanks very much for ur help btw..... very much appreciated...:O)
