I tried to update my R4i because I could not download any new games and have them work. Apparently this was a huge mistake. I bought my R4i from R4i.cn, which apparently is not run by people whose first language in English, so I am forever confused by what their poorly worded explanations mean. But I can understand the gist of it, and it seems to be a simple drag and drop. However, when I dragged and dropped the new kernel to my R4i, it ruined everything. I have since wiped it, and attempted to replace it with EVERY SINGLE KERNEL, respectively. But none of them work. The general error is the same, though which is: What on earth does this mean?
hey erin, weird question, which one do you have, the white version or the original black R4i? cause when you go to their site, it has two versions www.r4i.cn from what i can tell, your card can use the YSMenu as a second firmware, just look here for the downloads: http://forum.romulation.net/index.php?topic=43121.0
Not that odd a question, I probably should have said that anyway. I have the original black one. And... That worked! Someone useful on a forum, I am astounded. Thank you very much! I was afraid I would have to...go to Gamestop.
