just yesterday i got a acekard 2.1 for my ds lite. i've downloaded roms from this site and when i try to play them on my ds i either cant save them or the game stops working...am i doing something wrong or is it something else please help <3
yep the latest one and i even format it . what i have. acekard 2.1 micro sd 8gb also for some reasons any harvest moons or anything related to it they wont work on my acekard 2.1 you might know any games that are rpg that will work with an acekard2.1?
Here is what I suggest. You haven't listed exactly what firmware you have so I suggeat AKAIO, it's an alternitive which can be downloaded from the acekard web site. Try that, also grab an "akloader" file as well (if you look again in the acekard site you can find it) Place the file into the loaders directory. www.acekard.com My guess is the firmware may not be installed correctly, try akaio and let us know how it goes.
Make a folder on your computer and move all of your save files and roms from your microSD card to it. Now you should reformat your card using the Panasonic formatter, then reinstall a fresh version of AKAIO 1.5.1 on your mircoSD card. After that install the latest AK2/AK2i loader in the _aio/loaders directory. Make a folder titled "Games" on your mircoSD and place all of your roms and save files there. IMPORTANT: make sure the the save extensions for all of the save files are the same or else it will appear that all of your save files are lost (EX. Pokemon.sav or Pokemon.nds.sav). Load the AK 2i and press the start button, go to System Properties, click the right trigger two times, and scroll down to the save extension option and make sure that it is set to what you currently have, as sometimes when reinstalling AKAIO the preferences can change. So i had a Problem previously with my AK 2.1 the Solution Buy the AK2i. Sure you think its just for the DSi but its not! My AK2 v2.1 would not load or save any games with AKAIO 1.5.1/loaders. I tried formating at least 50 times switching out software overwriting files, blah blah you name it i did it held x for the longest time. downloaded firmware 1.4 with 1.5.1 loaders still nothing worked untill i plugged in my AK2i into my DS Lite! and Bam.... Every game I Had a problem with loading/saving are gone. currently waiting for my AK2i in the mail for my DS Lite now. Hope this solved your problems!
^ If it is not working it's because the flashcart is fake or because AKAIO wasn't properly installed. I have an Acekard 2.1 and it works.
To be Honest. I have an AK2i and an AK2 v2.1. the AK2 2.1 dosent really run AKAIO 1.5.1 very well so what you should do is buy an AK2i because the AK2i will load on your DS Lite and run AKAIO 1.5.1 Very well on it!
I checked out Normatt's forums ( http://akaio.gbatemp.net ) a few minutes ago, apparently there is a problem with a batch of Acekard 2.1. Acekard doesn't exactly know what the problem is, but it exists. Not all Acekard 2.1s are bad, just these newest ones.
mine is pretty new I got it just last week or so. Cool hopefully I can get a Refund/Exchange for a AK2i =]
If you know it's a real Acekard, they offer a one year warranty, regardless of what the company you purchased it from says
