You play as demons, and if i remember correctly, you unlock them. you're in a castle, or a tower, and you're working your way through levels. there's a demon with a chain weapon that you can get. its possibly Ps2/xbox era. if anyone can come up with the name of this i'll love them forever
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nklf9v15rmY I sorta remember what you speak of, but not fully. This came to my mind for some reason.
it was more of a Devil may cry-esque graphics, not cartoony, very dark and twisted. you killed skeletons and what not, and as you gathered whatever sort of currency you got from them you could unlock new souls/demons/monsters to play, i believe each time you changed a room there were numbers for the room, or level, like 3-1, or 3-9
Yes it was hack and slash edit: 90% positive edit2: i'd like to add that i'm sure it was a castle, as i remember a castle hallway that had a giant boulder in it that would come at you untill you figured out how to get past it.
Otogi: myth of Demons(Xbox) was the only one I could think of. That is one I truly loved, though I don't think you played as a skeleton though. Only Castlevania: Curse of Darkness is the other one. Hopefully one of the others can help you along, damn brain damage catches up to one at times.
Curse of darkness is it!!! just youtubed it i love you so much right now thank you thank you thank you
Yep. They can aid you tremendously through the game. There are a few hidden ones too IIRC. But seriously, Hector is a bit too strange though. Who wouldn't want to work as a devil forge master? Also, Dullahan was my favorite boss by far. Bad ass shield and sword. Have fun with it. Glad I could help.
