i recommend using iso coz it is faster than cd/dvd
use linuz iso plugin in the cd/dvd plugin
if you use cd/dvd the gighazer(sorry for the spelling)
then go to config/cddvdrom and browse your game
    then file/run cddvd

also, use ultraiso or a similar program to convert the img file to iso format

List the specs of your computer.

Some games prefer to run from DVD, or Virtual Driver.
Depend on which version of PCSX2 you are using, you can run the game directly from ISO function, some cdvdrom plugins, or through DVD/Mounting Program.

Are there any errors when the game crashes?

    Update:
I think i am giving up on this , i have tryed everything you guys have suggested and i cant get it to work , i have gotten a message talking about a memory card error , and one about frame rates , but those are the only ones

I'm quite unsure about what makes the memory card error to pop out,
but it does happen after you copy/paste the emulator from its original directory to another directory, as well for not installing the emulator using the installer.
This can be fix by re-installing the emulator.

Frame rates related to your pc specs, the higher your pc specs are, the better the frame rate are.
Beta r1888 give some boost to the frame rate on most game, especially geometrical related games.

and it would be good if you post what Tirith has asked previously.
Using an Emulator need a bit of patience, maybe more.
