Hi all, i've got an acekard2 and while i've had no problems playing games using the acekard os, still havent worked out how to run video. I've downloaded moonshell but dont have a clue what to do with it. I've also tried putting JPEG and AVI in the video file while the memory card is in my PC but they dont show up on the DS menu. Any help would be gratley appreciated. Gaz
you need moonshell to view pictures and play videos. Also video files must be converted to .dpg format otherwise they cannot be played on a DS. batchdpg and SUPER converter are commonly used for this.
I just wanted to add that converting videos for the ds seems to be challenging for a first timer. Actual movies have to be converted to avi first and then batchdpg of super can be used and neither are the easiest to work with. Thanks goodness for you tube and this forum for help with just setting them up. I convert movies for my phone and the psp, but just find it too slow and annoying to do it for the ds. too many possible errors for the time invested and the amount of reward. I should add that pictures(sized down) and mp3's are a breeze with moonshell. my 7 year old can do that.

Theres an option that you can select that makes your ds turn off after the video has finished. That could be your problem?
It's the screensaver option. it makes the screen go black after not touching the stylus to the screen. i learned that one the hard way. Post Merge: [time]1251427626[/time] OK, my problem is this. I had a dstt card and converted my hentai to dpg so i can watch "on the go" and had no problem with using moonshell to watch them. Now i have a acekard2 and i put my dpg files on it and they don't play. do i have to put moonshell on the acekard2 also, even though the movies are already in dpg format?
