Am looking into setting up my PSP2003 cfw5.00m33v-6 to play PSX games.Have followed a guide and result is getting 4kb file displaying corrupted data-instead of game to play.

The video guide said to do this

download 5.00m33_se file and put seplugins folder from that, into root of psp

start psp going into recovery menu and set plugins to enable.

put PSX rom game folder into psp=>game folder.

The psx rom contains 3 x files=1xfile ccd,1 x file sub,1x disc image file.Does anyone know what is stopping the game from playing?

You have to convert the psx game before you can play it on your psp

You need a popstation GUI to convert the files to Eboots.

    I recommend using PSX2PSP 1.4.2

Then you put that Eboot in a folder in the GAME folder.

You will want the plugin "popsloader" to increase your PSX game compatibility.

This is a guide, and you can download pre-packaged popsloader installs as well.

    You will need this site:
    http://www.gamerspress.com/index.php?title=PSX_on_PSP_Compatibility_List
It is a compatibility list, it lists the most compatible pops versions to play PSX games.
