How cool would it be to have a "piano hero?"

instead of playing songs from pop culture, you would play songs from several different games.
and you would have the entire keyboard, not just 4 or 5 buttons.

I don't know about that idea, at that point you could get a keyboard and music and play along with the song from a CD or your computer. Although, I guess this would allow you to play songs on easier difficulties and not have to play all of every part or know how to read music, but time it's full size there's 88 keys to sync up somehow on screen.

the whole reading music part was the part i was trying to avoid with a game like that.

imagine, through the fire and flames on expert on a piano!

    seizure time!

Lol, I'm listening to that right now! I'm awful at piano though, I don't think I could be any sort of Piano Hero.

meh, I've been playing Piano for 6 and a half years... not sure I would play it.
I can already play tons of videogame music/jpop that I pick out by ear.
    It does sound cool,
But I think it might be too hard for anyone who can't read music.

EDIT: Isn't there already one for PC that you hook up the keyboard through midi or somthing?

what if you don't want to play MIDI format?

    that's my only complaint there.

Back in the hay day era of the NES, such a thing already existed, The Miracle Piano Teaching System, & later it was ported to the SNES, Epic Fail though, because back then, gamers never really took a liking for music/rhythm based games. :(

This would be a horrible idea, no one would buy it. It would be amusing though.

I am not good at piano though... they could add some teaching lessons on piano for beginners.

I have no doubt it would be extremely lame, you may as well just learn for real, im not sure if you can get tab for piano or not but im sure itd be pretty similar. Winterr is also an avid piano player, im sure he'll hate this idea lol

He's a piano teacher by trade... I can play the piano a bit, and this reminds me of a program I got with my soundblaster 16 years ago. I honestly can't see it working as a console game though.

Yeah, there's a drum game at my local Timezone, shit though. I would totally buy a recorder Hero though. I'd say Winter would get either offended or amused by this. Mind you, I just rock on my electric guitar.
