Photoshop CS Problem

When I change the Save as... format from PSD to JPEG,GIF,PNG etc. A message appears that says: "File must be saved as a copy with this selection" and when I try to edit in imageready an error message appears that says: "Could not fully start the application. An unknown error has occurred"

Please help

 

the file must be saved as a copy is normal, the apllication does this so that you dont overwrite the origional PSD. The problem is with imageready and not Photoshop, however these days imageready is pretty much obsolete.

if youre using imageready then id say you're probably using an outdated version of PS too, i would certainly consider updating to CS3 (CS4 is great but CS3 is quicker and seems more stable)

lol CS3 may be a bit of an adjustment after CS1, but you wont regret it

 

oh well buddy I am a CS4 Portable user and I know this problem....

I was used to work on CS3 but when ever I open or wanted to save the file as .PNG the same error accurred while saving the file as you got... But then I downloaded CS4 and it's running fine... Better try this.
