it isn't the hardware, it's the software. so for molyneux to suggest the natal will change things isn't doing much. what he is doing however is hyping the natal and the idea of natal.

if we look at motion controls for instance, it existed before the wii but the wii has made it successful then before. how come? because of the software that nintendo made for the motion controller. even bill gates had said they tried playing with motion control but didn't like it. well that's because microsoft doesn't understand what to do with it.

what exactly can microsoft do with the natal that other developers can't and can do? if you look at that presentation of the natal at e3 2009, it had a bad concept idea to it, almost gimmicky. they don't know what to do with it.

Imagine a world without Nintendo, it would be like a world without religion, Technology would be thriving! Technology itself would be several years in the future!

And we would be without people like you who try to nitpick little stupid things like how awful the Natal is even though its demo at e3 was pretty fucking groundbreaking technological wise.

Now imagine if Nintendo Fan Boys had their ignorant way, this groundbreaking technology which could be applied to other things as well would be ignored and scoffed at.

Clearly Nintendo is to blame for the demise of the gaming industry.

thanks for posting that video. it's a parody btw. everything in that video is a mimick of the wii. everyone knows that the xbox 360 isn't based on that image that you get from watching that video. everyone knows what the image is for the 360.

this is the company that said directly that they laughted at motion controls. several years later they are in full support.

if the future is without nintendo, no one would buy the next console because it would be too expensive and no one would buy one. ps2 went from 200-300 to double that for the ps3. the ps4 would have been double the ps3 and the ps5 would be double the ps4. so yeah, i do support a world without nintendo because gaming would die faster and nintendo would be blamed for it.

the mouse was a break through because of the interface that were used to accompany the uses of the mouse. this is the same concept for the natal. but microsoft don't know what to do with it. microsoft will try but they will not do that well. just as what steve jobs said about microsoft, what they do best is copy and paste and that is what they are doing with the natal. but what microsoft has been doing in the pc sector is different then in the video game sector.

    What about Arc, Ultra?

This thread is now about the logical fail of Ultra's ideas.

More of you blindly insulting non-Nintendo products without checking the facts.

By the way, the Natal demo is hardly a parody. It allows players to play games without using corded hardware, unlike your precious crappy Wii which uses corded sensor controllers.

Also, nice slippery-slope fallacy you've got there Ultra. Each post you make like this simply affirms everyone's belief that you are a failure.

oh how I miss the days of the POWERGLOVE, and the EYETOY... natus would be great once the machines become more powerful (PS4 maybe?) but you will still have to have some tracking device on the user end (unless the software uses user texture mapping and relative distance/ movement calculations... keeping your cat from being player 2) especially with multiple players involved. I would like to see this in the future where you can jump into a game without forgetting your controller (we all had that moment)

the Natal has a better chance of failing than succeeding, mainly because Microsoft doesn't have a mad genius like Sakaguchi.

    'nuff said.

Oh boy. Another Nintendo fanboy with reasoning skills on par with Ultra's joins the fray...

That's just like saying the Celtics suck because they don't have Kobe Bryant.

not really, it might do better than nintendo due to the non-controller/ in the game aspect.

i'm pretty sure the eyetoy wasn't given much love, the hell would natal make a difference in?
i'm not saying it's bad but i want my controller right where it should be; IN MY HAND!

ok, with the modification of this technology on a wider sense, no one needs to bring a controler to a party... just jump in and play

Ah, if it's a "ddr" party then people will probably already have a controller or two at the place. Plus, me and my friends usually have enough controllers to play games.

how bout the wii, controller do you play with that? um, how about losing that wii chuck and playing with your hands...

or a porn game... doing actual pelvic thrusts... >.< shut up, I'm trying my hardest to come up with examples... have you ever wanted to be part of the game? like that one movie GAMER (without the sucktastic parts)
