Persona3Port black screen?

I recently dl'ed persona 3 portable for psp the game works great up too the part where you select the difficulty, after that the game starts and some text comes up, after the text finishes the screen just goes black and is forever loading or something?

Help please, i heard good things about this game and i want to play it.

Edit: ahh I'm running on 5.50 prom-4

 

You might have:

1. A corrupted copy of the game
2. A possible botched patched copy

Try finding an unpatched/clean copy, it might work since most of the older games that are unpatched run in Prom-4.

I had this problem too, but couldn't find a solution, the reason why I haven't played it P3P yet :/

What is the file extension of the game? .iso or .cso?
