Perfection is a Flaw?

    My freind and I am having a kerfuddle over if the saying "Perfection is in itself a flaw" is in fact, a saying. If this is true please provide backing evidence. Thanks for your help.

    By definition it is false.

    Perfection is the state of being free of flaws; flawless.

    Thank you but what we are trying to find id if the saying is a saying, did a wise old man once say this?

    well i believe perfection is a state of completeness and flawless
    i think the quote you mentioned was taken into account with "completeness" and not "flawless"
    so if human beings are complete and dont make mistakes.... well we wouldnt need to see history and nothing would have went wrong..... no sorrow and sadness and we would have been angels not humans

    Folks, if I understand the OP then it's not the concept he wants to know about, it's the saying's status as a saying. Given that most sayings are apocryphal, it's a pretty pointless endeavour.
