World In Conflict for the PC

    Publisher: Sierra
    Developer: Massive Entertainment
    Published: September 18, 2007
    Category: Strategy, Real-Time
    Players: 1-16

The game tells us about the World War III that didn't erupt, LUCKILY..
WOW tells us about the imaginary WW III between the USA and the Soviet or the Ivans as in the game.Sierra and Massive Entertainment's created a marvelous scene of WW III.The Soviets attack western Europe and siege is communed , as any story the Americans rush to the west and pushes back the Ivans.

Presentation - 9.5/10 However, the game provides you with deadlocking, destructive, swashbuckling 14-pack of missions with only American campaign. But,you can not play as the Red army on the main story .. but you can on the multiplayer prospective. The campaign blends superb story with twists and weaves, letting you fall into the story. You take a role as junior merge of US defense who makes his part into the story and heads for glory. The story is long and a bit overstretched but WOC really pays up to its expectations of standing high.

Graphics - 10/10 Nice graphics are offered through novel-graphics like in-game cut scenes while some through drawings and also some really nice prerendered scenes but, there aren't much in the game. The environment is soo good that you will not hesitate to destroy anything within your reach. The game is excellent on DX10 than DX9.. this lightens up the atmosphere. If you don't have DX10-NO WORRIES You won't miss anything at gameplay or ability. This a nuclear strike a perfect example of the games graphics.. The mushroom does a lot effect on the environment and is quite helpful around...Everything in game the works superbly even the close up camera ,just hover your mouse and then rotate the wheel of the mouse to zoom in or out.Even, when you throw up nuclear strike the sky turns black. The detailing in the game is specular.

Gameplay - 10/10 The game isn't to hard like some of the other RTS games. You straight forward ask for air-drops,air attacks.. this all provides it with open battleground for a destructive environment..Lot of army premeditated weaknesses and advantages are there like the Tanks are not good against infantry but are good against other tanks. This isn't the game ..when you want to take tons of army to attack the opposition, thats why you get a handful of units to fight with. The resource is also excellent introducing reinforcements points that help in purchasing the units and than deploy them to constant points under you.Now that seems easy to you..Now here comes the hard one WOC provides you with several time limits for comple- ting a particular objective. This sometimes becomes a headache.Besides the reinforcements points you have tactical aid points which are added to your tally whenever you do something to care for.Tactical strike means destroying the enemy hard and easy like several artillery, napalm strike etc,.one of the best thing is the nuclear strike. It creates a deadly sound and explosions of death trigger. Its easy if tactical strike is around, for instance its hard killing a group helicopters then you can call the air-strike to clean up the hood.Everything in game the works superbly even the close up camera ,just hover your mouse and then rotate the wheel of the mouse to zoom in or out.Even, when you throw up nuclear strike the sky turns black. The detailing in the game is specular

Sound - 10/10 Thats because of storytelling which is narrated perfectly by Alec Baldwin. He is backed up with excellent voice acting by the actors in the story which adds a real lively act to the game ..the game offers both emotions and humor at times. The SFX are really astounding like the trigger of a bomb creates superb noise. Also the nuclear attack's sound is really well back upped.

---Multiplayer - As good is the single player mode .. much better is the multiplayer mode. That plays quickly with no smirk waiting for the server.everything works warm and quickly at the multiplayer mode. This works so fast that you are snatched to the current playing game and in other RTS games no need to work on the base and building protection.just use your reinforcements points.Again thanks to the excellent resource system.

Team coordination can be handled through a through voice-IP chatting lets you talk to your team mates.Use anything on the battlefield you have from your mind to your game.

Replayability - 9.5/10 At the end, this is a real game for the RTS fans .. and also for juniors .. so far the best strategy game ever made its a masterpiece from story to the visual effects.everything in the game works to the top.Its a superb piece to your collection.Really the ones who want to play it again will get a more thrilling experience.

    Overall Rating - 49/50

    Full description

World in Conflict presents a chillingly authentic Cold War scenario where the Berlin Wall never fell. Created by Cold War authority and best-selling author Larry Bond, the story begins in 1989 as the Soviets, fearing certain collapse, boldly advance into Europe. NATO responds in force only to be met on a second front -- a full-fledged invasion of the American homeland.

Players take on the role of field commander, leading the era's most powerful military machines in the campaign to retake America's cities and suburbs. The RTS gameplay features completely destructible 3D battlefields, aggressive team-based multiplayer action and a focus on fast, hard-hitting battles.

Brothers In Arms is not basically a strategy game.

World In Conflict is completely a different game with new standards.

No I mean, by comparing, they ahve the same story, except that World of conflict is necessariliy a "Higher" 3rd person, inwhich you control units, whereas Brothers In Arms is a single unit, but the graphics look astonishingly similar, and I guess the Wars will too :) I gotta find a store in this country with this game...
