A few days ago, my PC kept giving me the BSOD, and eventually, it would randomly shut down. I figured out that it was the PSU, and I changed it as soon as I could. Then it started to say windows files were corrupt, so I tried doing a repair install of windows, but it kept locking up when it got to kernel debugger DLL. I looked up why this would be happening, and I read something that said to reseat the ram, and clear the CMOS. I did as I was told. After I did that, the PC got stuck on the bios loading screen. After about an hour or so of waiting for it to load, I shut it down and tried to start it up again. Now all I get is a screen that says No video input in a little blue square on the screen. things I have done since then: tried several video cards added and removed RAM tried using a different monitor clearing the CMOS again (by removing the battery and again by switching the jumper) it's not posting or making any effort to boot, the only thing that seems to be working right now is the new PSU
Remove your graphics card as well if you have onboard display. Maybe your bios got damaged somehow, update your bios by flashing it with a new version. Wishing you luck.
so everything including the HDD, DVD drive, and RAM? that's all that that is in it besides the Video card and CPU
ok so, still nothing... it's the same as before, no beeps or anything that can give me a clue as to what is wrong... I'm starting to fear that the mobo has died, which means I have lost my gaming rig until I have enough money to buy a new one
its nothing to do with the OS It doesn't beep even without ram in? are the fans spinning (ones plugged into mobo), are there any LEDs showing on the mobo?
Nope, no beeps at all... but the LED's do come on There are 7 fans inside this PC, heat wouldn't be an issue
thats not going to help either. Sorry but its looking like something on the mobo (or possibly the CPU) crapped out.
well, damn.... I'm going to try to look if there are any short circuits or blown capacitors on the motherboard
this may sound stupid, but use your smell...sniff out the motherboard XD ..see if you sense anything burnt like
