the i3 won't handle games very well, you should be looking at an i7, If money is an issue then go AMD.

It's also highly unlikely that a 420W PSU will be capable of running a GTX 465

So what PSU And AMD do you suggest?

and will the i3 run games better than my current pentium 4?

yes an i3 will be better than a P4, but its an ultra cheap processor that's absolutely fine if you're writing a letter/email to your auntie mabel, but it will be badly lacking when you try to run games.

is an i5 good for gaming
and please name a cheap recommencded power supplyand cooler thtll be the best choice to use the graphics card i have chosen..

a high end i5 will be adequate for most games.

In terms of power supplies, 'cheap' and 'good' are opposites. Assuming you want a good one that isn't likely to blow up and take your computer with it, consider a Corsair hx750 or hx850, or a silverstone olympia 750.

    thats still an i3.

also the PSU is a no-name, you can't trust it. It probably still isn't capable of powering a 465 anyway.

Antec 520W ATX NEO 520C ECO PSU

its not the number of watts that matters, its the number of amps on the 12V rail, the GTX 280 I had needed 40 amps. so you need a PSU that supplies 50A+ on the 12V rail. A 450W wont cut it.

No that antec is not an option, it has 3 rails of 18A each. You need 50A+ on a single rail. Get one of the ones I suggested previously.

    520W?

i need it to be under $750 all up and with the ones you have suggested it becomes 832

so would any of the PSU's i posted be able to handle the Asus EAH5450

WLAN in desktop PCs doesnt work very well, I wouldnt bother with the WLAN card. Just run a cable.

Actully, a 5450 would run fine on that psu. That is, if I found the card that youi were planning to buy.

ASUS X450 cards are usually aimed at HTPC setups but are a excellent poor persons gaming video card.

That said, a AMD build would be better for you. What site are you purchasing the parts from anyway? (Optionally, were are you located at?)

oh yes it probably would handle a 5450, I assumed you were still talking about the gtx 465.
